Legion of Mercy is made up of countless dedicated people,
including many volunteers, cultural creatives, contractors, and friends.
Led by Prelate Father Chris Vorderbruggen and Director of Women’s
Services, Kristin Barton, the Legion is an ever growing and changing organization.

Father Chris Vorderbruggen studied at Agape of Jesus Seminary and graduated
with his degree in Theology. He is Prelate and spiritual head of the Legion
of Mercy. A self-described feminist, Chris travels throughout Mexico,
Canada, and the United States, doing outreach and speaking publicly to
raise awareness

| of sexual exploitation
and women’s empowerment issues.Chris also heads the Legion’s
transitional housing and street outreach team in Juarez, Mexico. He is available
to speak at colleges, churches, community organizations, and training seminars.

Kristin Barton is Director of Women’s Services for the Legion’s
U.S. Program. She holds a B.A. in human services administration from Metropolitan
State University, and has worked extensively with victims of violence
and sexual exploitation in the American Midwest. Kristin’s resume
includes work with Family &
|
|
|
Children’s Service PRIDE Program of Minneapolis, and Community Action
Council. She is also a Reiki Master/Teacher and has written a self-help
workbook for women who wish to leave the sex industry. Kristin specializes
in volunteer training and coordination, program development, and advocacy.
